Amuro
Amuro - A Love Letter to Japan was filmed to showcase the boutique craft of running a saké restaurant in the heart of Darlinghurst, Sydney. With an ambience like that of an Izakaya in Tokyo, the restaurant founder and saké sommelier, Kei Tokiwa, narrates the vision of how Amuro came to be.
As part of their campaign to promote their proficiency as a ‘point of sale’ system provider, Square spotlights affiliate businesses that have integrated their software through the medium of film productions.
Amuro’s uncanny resemblance to an authentic Izakaya bar in Tokyo required an aesthetic that was organic, minimal and tidy.
Maintaining such a visual consistency mandated the need for a ‘point of sale’ system that achieved the balance between a robust data driven backend and a small discreet form factor.
Thanks to Square’s large array of POS devices, their smaller terminal was the perfect option for Amuro’s needs.
